"Drawing inspiration from myth and poetry. There is the echo of Swan Lake and the Greek myth of Leda and the Swan which has captivated the imagination of artists for centuries, from Leonardo Da Vinci to Sydney Nolan. This depiction includes the use of old tires – both as a swing and as an ornamental sculpture (curiously Australian utilisations). Set within the waters of a Billabong, the water dragon and bogong moths bear witness to this curious parade as the figure transforms from swan to woman, wringing white feathers from her hair."
