"Amorphous setting referencing the Picnic at Hanging Rock tale. The bush has a colonial tradition of vanishings – there is a deep mystery surrounding vast untamed spaces, spaces large enough to disappear in. The work features a Tas Tiger revealed in an intricately carved trousseau box – surrounded by an assortment of curiously related items – pearl jewellery, binoculars, shoes, The work ponders the traces of the lost and the mythical return of the Vanished, symbolised by the owl emerging from the mists of Mt Macedon clutching the missing glove."
