Born in Sydney.
Chris' latest series of landscape paintings, explores light, mood and movement at different times of day. "I used the paintings themselves as a palette, not mixing the colours separately from the tubes, but by splashing and dabbing, letting the paint run and mix on the surface. The paint therefore started to make shapes and evoke forms; it was the beginning of allowing the paints, with my direction to develop mood, light, harmony and balance. The details were finished off with oil stick. This is a series of paintings with freer feelings and personality emerged."
