'Loving You from Here (Still)' is Kir's latest exhibition which will be on display at Manyung Gallery Flinders this January. This body of works is an exploration of familiar surrounds and daily experiences, as well as the beauty and meaning that can be found in mundane objects and unremarkable corners of home - explorations that have been further ignited by the extraordinary events of 2020.
"The very home-based year we have just lived through has played to my strengths. Some of them, at least. These paintings are little meditative portraits of everyday objects, alongside flights of abstraction."
