After many sold-out exhibitions, Craig Penny returns to Manyung Gallery Sorrento with a captivating new collection that celebrates the beauty and energy of the Mornington Peninsula. Known for his vibrant portrayals of beaches, boats, and seascapes, Craig’s latest works bring the region’s stunning landscapes to life, using both acrylic to reflect the shifting light and atmosphere.
“I’m drawn to water, but I’m also drawn to the landscape. I do love the strong light of the sunset. I just think it is marvellous to look at and just observe how the colours change when the sun gets really low, and the light becomes a lot stronger. I do enjoy the challenge that every subject provides too.
I like to think that my painting style is energetic, and I would like to think that it’s loose. I like my paintings to have an energy about them and I don’t mind exposing the brush stroke if they need to be exposed and for me again that is me getting emotionally involved in the whole painting process.”
Please join us to celebrate Craig’s newest collection of coastal-inspired works.
