Join us at Manyung Gallery Malvern for Peter Coad’s latest exhibition, ‘When Memory Becomes Art’
Peter has been surrounded by vast landscapes since he was a child, establishing a strong connection with wide-open spaces and the vibrant colours that nature presents. The history and knowledge gained of each place Peter visits during his artistic journeys is clearly captured through the essence and feeling of the land in his magnificent paintings.
“Memory plays a singular part in the creation and development of my art, and is intertwined with visual reminders provided by countless sketchbooks. This process remains central to my work and is a subconscious connection to the timelessness of landscape. My exhibition at Manyung Gallery is a celebration of my career. It is a visual journey of Australian locations as a painter of landscape, and the influences and inspirations of world travels and cultures embodied in my works.”
