Manyung Gallery Strathmore is thrilled to present a stunning collection of artworks from Karen Standke.

In her latest exhibition, Karen explores areas of the landscape that have suffered, at times as a devastating consequence of human activity. There is an undeniable contrast of beauty and destruction in Karens paintings, juxtaposing an almost romantic depiction of the landscape with the effects of climate change.

Karen’s paintings are informed by thorough research and extensive travel within Australia and around the world, particuarly to more remote regions, in an attempt to capture the physical world and our place in it.
