Please join us at Manyung Gallery Strathmore as we present an exhibition of new works from John Lendis, painted in his London studio.

“These are paintings of memories, places I have visited, worked in over the years. I find, as I mull over my memories that certain moments stand alone. These still flash brightly for me and remain vivid and alive. Moments of surprise, delight, of wonder and enchantment, scattered across the world in places where I have lived and loved.”

John is stimulated by the sweet sadness of leaving, and the excitement of arriving. With dual Australian and English nationality, John’s heart beats in two places, and is forever experiencing opposing emotions of melancholia and joy on his travels to and from Hobart and London.
