Be transported into a world of transcended beauty in Natasha Barnes’ latest exhibition. Barnes presents works that explore the idea that that sometimes beauty can be found in the most dark and desolate places. In particular, the lotus flower is represented as a reoccurring motif in this exhibition. Barnes, herself, comments that the lotus “provides endless inspiration as a bloom that flowers only in adversity.” There's something we can all learn from a flawless flower that grows unscathed despite its surroundings, a metaphor that's inspired people for centuries.
“This series reflects a kind of transcended beauty that is abstract in nature yet resonates with those who find the connection to my mark-making. After the past 24 months I feel a metaphorical awakening; similar to an open lotus bud, a spiritual journey encountered through my own discovery of my inner strength, along with the rest of the world.”
Please join us on the exhibition opening of 'Awakening' and experience the hidden treasures found in Natasha Barnes’ work.
