David Hinchliffe delves into an exploration of location and identity with ‘Places and Spaces’.
In his latest exhibition, David Hinchliffe asks the viewer to admire the smallest details and the beauty of our own backyard, including our local parks and familiar streets that we pass every day. From restriction, we can learn to appreciate our home soil.
“In recent times we’ve come to know ourselves and our local communities much better. Trips overseas have been replaced by visits to local parks and other places of quiet contemplation. At times we’ve been able to travel to destinations like Central Australia which too many of us have simply flown over on our way to Europe and Asia. This exhibition is about the places and the spaces many of us have been to since March 2021.”
