The team at Manyung Gallery are so excited to present 'Panoramic Perspectives' - a new exhibition featuring Sunshine Coast based artist Catherine Wood, and New South Wales artist Sarah Bishop, at our Flinders Gallery this November.

Katherine's beautifully textured paintings are abstracts of her imagination, that are representative of no specific time frame, place or reality, but rather a general energy or spirit of time and place. Her earthy tones, blended brushstrokes and scraped textures in her art reflect the natural potency and permanence of the earth.

Similarly, Sarah's intricate paintings are created using an endlessly changing seasonal palette that reflects in her work in oils and acrylic, as she interprets the land and feeling around her in its many and varied forms and weather patterns, depicting the deep blues of an oncoming storm across a huge expanse of country, to a gentle scene of sheep and cattle grazing without even a breath of wind to disturb them.

You find yourself instantly immersed in the expansive Australian landscape when viewing Katherine and Sarah's art, and we are thrilled to be able to present these works at our scenic Flinders Gallery.
