‘New Lands’ is an exhibition exploring new territories both real and imagined. Paul’s hope is for viewers to connect to a playful sense of exploration. Experimentation is an important part of Paul’s practice, exploring the middle ground between spontaneity and considered design. These works contain recognisable elements and symbols placed amongst areas abstracted to ambiguity. Landscapes become dreamscapes; where these paintings offer an opportunity to pause and ponder.
