This body of abstracted works  focuses on colour relationships, negative space and edges. 

There is still the intuitive colour placement and botanical drawings that is ever-present in my art, however this time, I have extended the work by carving out continuously connecting forms, some recognisable, some not. All shapes relate to each other and how they fit on the canvas. The negative space is given life of its own by block colour work. 

To create a sense of depth, my dot work has emerged as urchin, shell-like circular shapes floating in the background. Vertical lines provide support for the abstracted shapes whilst also adding to the dimension of the works.

I bring my love for all things plant, rock and sea to this body of works and hope that my joy for life is felt by the viewer.
