"In my still life painting journey l have focused on capturing the beauty of fruit and vegetables, with a particular fondness for pears.
I find inspiration in their unique shapes, vibrant colours and the intricate patterns they create. Through building up layers, l have enhanced their depth and richness. I love the interplay of light and shade, which brings a dynamic quality to my compositions.
I am inspired by artists such as Cezanne who also celebrated fruit in still life. I find a deep connection to nature through my subjects. When I see an orange or a chilli I’m reminded of their Vitamin C content, symbolising purity and the marvels of the natural world. Each piece is a tribute to the beauty and significance it these everyday items.
Each painting reflects my admiration for these natural forms and the joy they bring to my artistic expression."
