"This pale sky-blue bowl for the Daoguang period of 1821 - 1850 is decorated in the Famille Rose style and features pink and cream plum blossoms. It realised $144,00HKD at Auction in 2022.
The plum blossoms reach out of the bowl on weathered, ancient branches to create an arrangement which is just too tempting for a little female Superb Blue Wren to not investigate. She sings out to her family to come join her. We are visited by wrens throughout the year. Even if you can’t see them, you will hear them twittering away to each other from dense shrubs, rose bushes or around the bird bath. We are so fortunate to have such beautiful visitors to our garden."
