Yeonjoo was born in Seoul, Korea in 1980 and currently based in Melbourne since 2003.
She is an artist deeply connected to the sky and the ever-changing dance of clouds. Her work explores nature’s most fleeting and transcendent moments—the soft glow of dawn, the rich hues of dusk, the quiet embrace of mist, and the radiant intensity of sunlight at its peak.
In every shifting cloud and passing light, she sees beauty and hope. Her paintings are visual prayers—reflections of the sky’s evolving light and the quiet grace found in stillness. In a world that can feel heavy and uncertain, she seeks to capture moments of serenity, presence, and quiet gratitude that nature so generously offers.
Through abstract, emotion-driven landscapes, she expresses what words often cannot—a sense of awe, wonder, and divine presence that lives within these simple yet profound scenes. Each piece invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the stillness and beauty that surround us.
By simplifying the landscape through omission, she leaves space for personal interpretation, allowing viewers to engage imaginatively and emotionally. Her work speaks to the soul, offering a quiet space for reflection, renewal, and peace.
Through her art, Yeonjoo hopes to offer the same inspiration and joy that she finds in nature’s ever-changing light.
