Located on the Bellarine Peninsula, sculptor Chris Baum has been a professional metal worker for 40 years. At his day job he specialises in difficult, tightly specified one -off and small run works.
He is a qualified toolmaker by trade.
Always keen to make artworks of his own, Chris started creating outdoor sculptural works 10 years ago and his sculptures include series of varying sized spheres utilising very old ‘dog bolt’ or railway spikes, specifically sourced recycled horseshoes, stainless steel, aluminium, random steel circles, steel ribbons and tools often also crafted into spheres.
He works from a discrete and well-equipped workshop close to home.
Chris is continually exploring new sculpture options and looks forward to sharing them with collectors of his works. He is represented by Manyung Gallery Group and their outdoor sculpture site in Flinders, Victoria.
