PoTTs Biography

My new work in environmental art incorporates sculpture, assemblage, screen-printing and painting, which is a natural evolution from a graphic background into fine arts. I use iconic pop cultural forms and imagery, and paint and print on re-assembled discarded timber, lending the work a fresh, audacious quality that canvases fail to deliver.
The themes expressed range from sea-and landscapes to surfing culture. My love of graphics combined with painting on timber, make each work a sculptural, artistic challenge, that at best, engage the onlooker to share my view and the depth of my expression, which incorporates the environmental urgency, “Can’t see the wood for the trees.”
