Group Exhibition in New Gallery

Please join us for the launch of a striking group exhibition and book launch.

'At the Edge of the Universe'

at our new premises, 60 Mount Eliza Way, Mt Eliza!

Featuring new work by painter Maki Horanai and jeweller Keiko Uno.

Maki Horanai moved to Australia from Japan in 2005 and has had 18 solo exhibitions in various cities throughout Australia. Her work is in collections in Europe, Asia and America and she has a growing collection of admirers who find her work thoughtful, mysterious, evocative and fantastic (in all senses of the word.)  People who have Maki’s work in their home find it an extraordinarily peaceful companion.

Maki and her partner Hillel have created a series of handmade books containing prints of her works and the haiku poems they have inspired Hillel to write. Their latest book, “at the edge of the universe”, has been produced especially for this exhibition and will be available for the first time at the opening.

The book is printed and produced by both Hillel and Maki on handmade paper.
