Statement:

My contemporary figurative sculptures are largely inspired by the beauty of the female form, the emotive response between mother & baby, multiple children and lovers.  Although my pieces are quite minimalist, they always convey a feeling or emotion – the body language tells a story.

I love to explore textures and the effect of multiple glazing – often firing my pieces 2, 3 or even 4 times (firing range 1080C – 1150C), each firing takes approximately 24 hours.  A piece can take from 3 – 10 weeks to complete.

All my sculptures are uniquely designed and handcrafted – they range in size from small to lifesize and are suitable for interior or exterior placement.  I have significant experience working with both Interior Designers and Landscape Architects and have many pieces in corporate  spaces – hospitals, hotels, business foyers, wineries etc, as well as private homes.
