Wendy Grace

Wendy Grace Biography

Wendy Grace is a Melbourne based artist, whose practice centres around painting and photography. She graduated with a BFA (Painting) and her Honours degree (first class) from RMIT University. She has exhibited her work extensively in solo and group exhibitions and has regularly been selected as a finalist in national and regional competitions and prizes; most recently the recipient of the Frankston Arts Centre Open Art Prize 2016.

Grace's abstract paintings are inspired by the synthesis of colour, texture and forms found in the natural landscape. Her fascination for the landscape and the colours and patterns of nature are evident in her organic, translucent large and small scale paintings on paper and canvas that respond to Nature's cycles of life, suggesting the process of growth and change.
